CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The #19 Lady Tigers of Campbellsville University women's tennis took down the Bethel University Lady Wildcats in dominant fashion with a 7-0 victory.
Bethel started off by taking down the #1 team of
Angela Mendoza and Ariadna Perez by a final of 4-3. The Lady Tigers were able to bounce back with the #2 team of
Oriana Espinoza and
Madison Hill taking a 6-1 victory in their match. The #3 team of
Emily Hibbs and
Addison Sutton also won in convincing fashion with a 6-1 victory as well.
Mendoza opened up singles action with set victories of 6-4 and 6-3. The #2 Espinoza would pick up a match win of 6-2 and 6-1. Perez would continue the dominance for the Lady Tigers by winning her match with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Hill also picked up a victory with set scores of 6-2 and 5-3. The #4
Blaeke Mitchell would win her match with two 6-1 sets. Sutton would close out the day for Campbellsville with a match win with two 6-0 sets.
The Lady Tigers will return to the courts on Tuesday, March 15 as they will travel to Union College. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m. ET.
