Lady Tigers split two matches at Indiana Wesleyan Invitational

MARION, Ind. – The #19 Lady Tigers traveled to participate in the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational Friday and Saturday. They hit the court against the (RV) Northwestern Ohio Racers and the #3 Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats where they bested the Racers 4-3 but fell to the Wildcats 4-0.
 
First was their match-up against the Racers. Oriana Espinoza and Angela Mendoza took their doubles match in the number one spot 6-4. The doubles contests saw another win in Madison Hill and Ariadna Perez 7-5. Northwestern Ohio grabbed the second-seeded doubles match.
 
In singles play, Espinoza was victorious (6-0, 6-2) in the first slot. Her teammate at number 2 was Mendoza who triumphed (6-4, 6-4). Hill was successful in fifth (7-6, 6-2). The third, fourth and sixth singles seeds all went to the Racers.
 
Taking on Indiana Wesleyan, the Wildcats took every head-to-head that finished in both doubles and singles play.
 
The Lady Tigers will have a busy week ahead of them with five matches in the next six days. They will host Lindsey Wilson College on Monday April 11th at 2 p.m. ET.
