CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Lady Tigers got back on the winning path Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Pikeville.
Campbellsville took the early lead in doubles.
Angela Mendoza and
Oriana Espinoza made light work of their double's opponent with a (6-1) win.
Madison Hill and
Ariadna Perez had the same score in the two spot also with a (6-1) win. Rounding out doubles was
Emily Hibbs and
Addison Sutton with a sounding victory at a (6-2) score.
Espinoza had no troubles playing in the one spot once again for Campbellsville. She won in straight sets (6-1, 6-0). Mendoza followed suit off of Espinoza with a (6-1, 6-0) win in her matchup in twos. Hill was pushed to a three set match where she won the first set (6-4) and fall the second set (4-6). She would go on to win the third set and save a match point.
Perez and Sutton were the final pair to earn wins in sinlges play this afternoon. Perez won in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) while Sutton won her matchup in (6-0, 6-4).
Campbellsville will return to the court on Wednesday April 6
th when the Battle of Highway 55 comes to town and the team will face Lindsey Wilson College. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
