WILLIAMSBURG, KY – Campbellsville was able to hold steady and come away with outright third place on the final event of the day with 122 points.
The women's 4x100m relay got the day off to a hot start for Campbellsville.
Haley Payton,
Alexia Boyd,
Jamila Garba, and
LaAuhnni Lewis were the runner-ups in the event and crossing the line in a school record and NAIA A Standard time of 47.54.
Boyd and Garba finished in back-to-back positions in the 100m dash finals. Boyd was fourth overall in school record and NAIA B Standard time of 12.09 while Garba was fifth at 12.17. The duo was able to also earn key points in the 200m dash finals. Garba was fifth place in the event at 24.76 while Boyd was sixth at 25.10.
Hailey Shank was close to a bronze medal finish in the 400m hurdles placing fourth overall at 1:10.02.
Marlena Sipes earned six points in the heptathlon with her bronze medal finish in the event with 2283 points.
Madison Welch was able to score one point on the afternoon in her 5,000m racewalk placing eighth with a time of 37:12.81.
Hailie LaMar earned three points in the 1500m run running a time of 5:03.38.
Emma Steff earned herself fourth place in the 5,000m run running a time of 18:58.10.
The 4x400m relay secured th outright third place for the team placing third in the event at 4:07.96 with Boyd, LaMar, Payton, and Garba on the team.
In the field,
Ricquel Williams climbed the podium to third place overall in the shot put with her throw of 12.12m.
Brooke Coffman placed seventh in the discus throw with her second throw landing at 31.24m.
Payton and Boyd earned 10 points in the triple jump. Payton earned the final podium finish of the afternoon for the Lady Tigers with her mark of 11.29m while Boyd was fifth overall with a jump of 10.59m.
Campbellsville will now prepare for the NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships May 12-14 in Greenville, Ill.
