TAYLOR, IN – Campbellsville fought hard through rolling hills and turns at the Ray Bullock Invitational finishing fifth in the standings.
The Smithson brothers were 1-2 during this week's race.
Lukas Smithson was the top man in for Campbellsville placing 19
th and running a 27:34.5. His brother
Myles Smithson was close behind at 28
th and hitting a time of 28:14.5.
Samuel Bennett finished back-to-back weeks as the third man on the team. Bennett was directly behind Myles in 29
th at 28:25.3.
Dakota Brady was the top harrier for Campbellsville at Indiana Wesleyan but came in as the fourth scorer for the Tigers placing 40
th and running a time 29:05.6.
Alex Steen,
Trevor Hansen, and
Luke Burton were the final scorers for Campbellsville in 5-7 position. Steen placed 44
th running 29:11.6, Hansen was close in the placement behind Steen at 51
st running a 30:10.7, and Burton rounding out the top seven placing 54
th and running a time of 30:35.8.
Campbellsville will regroup with a week off next weekend and return to action at the Greater Louisville Classic on October 1
st.
