BROOKINGS, SD – Hailey Shank and Emma Steff got the Tigers started Thursday afternoon at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships in the 5,000m run.
 
Two heats of the event were run with the first four finishers of each heat and then the next four fastest times earning the automatic bid to the finals on Saturday.
 
Shank led the way finishing 20^th overall on the day with her time of 18:11.74. Steff battling illness during her time in South Dakota was able to finish 35^th in 19:29.49.
 
Campbellsville is back in action on Friday for day two of the NAIA National Championships.
