KENNESAW, GA – Lady Tigers took full advantage of the warm weather over the weekend at Kennesaw State with multiple NAIA marks.
Alexia Schofield and
Alexia Boyd continued their success from indoor into outdoor season for Campbellsville. Schofield earned two NAIA standards over the weekend. In the 200m, she ran an NAIA A Standard and school record time of 24.25 placing 5th. That takes over teammate
Jamila Garba's former record of 24.56. In the triple jump, she hit an NAIA B Standard mark of 11.72, placing 5th.
Boyd finished 4th overall and earned an early ticket to the national championship in the 100m. She finished in 11.98, .02 seconds under the NAIA B Standard time in the event and breaks her own school record from last season. In the long jump, Boyd finished 12th with a mark of 5.44m.
Brooke Coffman earned a top-20 finish in the hammer throw with her mark of 39.71m, placing 17th. In the discus, she placed 22nd overall with her throw of 28.60m.
Campbellsville will return to the track on March 31st, and April 1st, when the teams will split travel to the Hilltopper Relays in Bowling Green, KY, and the Centre College Invitational in Danville, KY.
