DANVILLE, KY – Multiple event wins and lifetime bests led the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Centre Twilight Invitational Friday evening.
A trio of Tigers went 1-2-3 in the 100m.
Alexia Boyd continues to lead Campbellsville in the event with her win of 12.36.
Kourtlyn Cannon was 2nd behind Boyd in 12.50, while
LaAuhnni Lewis was 3rd overall in 12.53.
Victoria Young ran a .73 second PR in the 400m earning the silver medal in the event with a time of 58.81.
Lanecia Moore narrowly missed the sub-one-minute barrier in 1:00.99, placing 5th.
Jaci Johnson finished .01 second behind Moore to grab three points at 1:01.00.
Sixteen points came from the distance events on Friday.
Christy Shank led the way in both of her events. Shank ran a PR and school record in the 1500m run with her time of 4:49.08, placing 2nd.
Emma Steff was 7th overall in the event, grabbing two points in 5:03.78. Shank earned another top-three finish in the 800m run with her time of 2:24.58.
Makiyah Allen gave Campbellsville ten points across both of her events. Allen has been consistent all season, improving in time in hurdles. In the 100m hurdles, she set a PR of 15.89 placing 2nd, while in the 400m hurdles, she ran a second PR on the day in 1:13.42, placing 7th.
The 4x100m relay subbed in athlete to earn key experience for the second half of the season. Lewis,

KaNiya Douglas, and Cannon won the event in 48.09.
Boyd won her second event of the day in the long jump. She hit an NAIA A Standard and PR with her mark of 5.93m. Cannon was 7th overall in the long jump at 5.08m.
Alexia Schofield had a lighter day than usual on the track. Schofield was 2nd overall in the triple jump in 11.47 and earned six points in the high jump, placing 3rd with a height of 1.55m.
Ricquel Williams,
Brooke Coffman, and
Macie Russell combined for 21 points total across all throwing events. Williams brought a 2nd place finish to the team score in the shot put with her mark of 11.86m. Coffman led the way in the discus with her 7th place mark of 32.36, while Williams placed 8th in 31.56. Coffman placed 6th in the hammer throw, narrowly missing the 40m mark in 39.95m placing 6th. Williams placed 7th in the event in 38.49. Russell brought in the final points for Campbellsville with a 4th place finish in the javelin, with her mark landing at 28.11m.
Campbellsville earned 128 team points overall, finishing second, just two points behind the meet winners of Centre College, finishing with 130 points.
The team returns to the track on Friday, April 21st, and Saturday, April 22nd, when they travel to Eastern Kentucky University.
