Boyd jumps her way to another NAIA All-American honor Wednesday evening

MARION, IN – Alexia Boyd earned her second NAIA All-American of her career Wednesday evening in the long jump to complete day one at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Boyd hit her best jump on her final attempt of the preliminary round. Boyd was able to hit a mark of 5.70m, just .03m off tying for fourth place overall. Alexia Schofield was unable to qualify for the final in the long jump. Schofield ran the 200m prelims 30 minutes before the long jump. She placed 14th in the event running a time of 24.18.
 
In the 4x100m relay, Boyd, Schofield, Kourtlyn Cannon, and LaAuhnni Lewis placed in the top ten in the event. They placed second in heat three with time of 46.59, less than .17 seconds away from qualifying for the finals. 
 
Campbellsville will return to the track on Thursday afternoon when the women compete in the 4x400m relay preliminary round and the triple jump. Boyd will return to the track in the 100m preliminary round.
