Schofield earns All-American in the triple jump, Boyd qualifies for the 100m finals

MARION, IN – Alexia Boyd and Alexia Schofield continued their post season success Thursday as day two of the NAIA Track & Field Championships came to a close
 
Boyd was in the final heat of the women's 100m prelims. She came off the blocks strong with her middle portion of the race being where she made up ground to secure the third and final spot in the finals. Boyd set a new school record of 11.74, .14 seconds faster than her previous record at 11.88.
 
Schofield earned her third NAIA All-American honor of the 2023 season. Schofield earned two during indoor season in the long and triple jump. She placed 8th Thursday evening in the triple jump with a mark of 12.11m on her third attempt of the day.
 
In the 4x400m relay, Schofield jumped over to the track to anchor the relay Thursday evening. Schofield had KaNiya Douglas, Jaci Johnson, and Victoria Young on the team. The relay was able to finish in a time of 3:59.93, placing 22nd overall. 
 
Boyd will return to the track one last time tomorrow afternoon in the 100m final. That event will go off at 2:50 p.m. ET.
