FOLEY, Ala. – The Tiger and Lady Tiger Archery Teams took part in the USA Archery 3D Collegiate Nationals in Foley, Alabama. The team landed in a tie for tenth place.
Top-ten performances came from four events over the tournament. William Bennett and Brooklyn Steele collected an eighth-place finish in the Barebow Mixed Team competition, Trenton Napier and Jaden Berdecia landed ninth place in the Fixed Pin Mixed Team competition, Bryce Schaefer and Whitley Eastridge also garnered ninth place in the Recurve Mixed Team competition, and Steele placed tenth individually in the Barebow College Women competition.
Dawson Brown and Kate Miller rounded out the mixed team competitions with a 16th-place finish in the Compound Mixed Team.
On the men's side, Schaefer also earned 29th in the Recurve College Men competition. Brown collected 59th in the Compound College Men competition. Several Tigers participated in the Barebow College Men competition: Bennett (20th), Colin Harris (24th), Francisco Philippe Cocar-Montenegro (27th), and Gabriel Cunha (40th). Many also competed in the Fixed Pin College Men competition: Napier (28th), Lance Powell (30th), Tanner Edmonds (56th), Christopher Wagoner (65th), Grant Lawson (67th), and Colin Miller (70th).
As for the women's side, Steele led the way for the Lady Tigers, placing individually in the Barebow College Women competition. Four other Lady Tigers competed in that same event: Tasia Rivera (16th), Madaline Teipen (25th), McKenzie McGee (28th), and Allyson Miracle (56th). In the Compound College Women competition, Miller placed 59th, and Carson Swanger was 60th. Campbellsville had three competitors in the Recurve College Women event: Eastridge (29th), Ashley Thomas (32nd), and Emily Davis (35th). For the Fixed Pin College Women competition, Berdecia finished 23rd, Kira Lewis was 43rd, Madalynn Puryear was 50th, and Rebecca Couture was 56th.
