4x400m relay places 5th in the finals, Schofield finishes off historic NAIA Championship run

MARION, INAlexia Schofield and the 4x400m put forth one final effort Friday evening to secure NAIA All-American honors.

Schofield finished off her NAIA Championship meet with one last trick up her sleeve in the 200m final. She was on the heels of Praise Idamadudu from Cumberland University the whole way and finished as the national runner-up with a time of 23.26. Overall, Schofield was responsible for 19 of the Tigers 23 points at the national championship.

In the 4x400m relay, Victoria Young, KaNiya Douglas, Jaci Johnson, and Piper Clark took the field by storm over the course of the race. In the home stretch of Clark's finish, she was able to secure Campbellsville a 5th place overall spot and NAIA All-American honors. The team finished with a school record time of 3:47.80, improving upon their preliminary round of 3:48.99.

As a team, the Tigers finished 12th overall. The highest placing as a team in program history.
