GAINESVILLE, FLA - Christy Shank made the most of her day in the preliminary rounds on Friday by qualifying for both the 1,000m and mile run finals.

It took two school records for Shank to qualify for the finals in both of her events. In the first event of the day the mile run she ran a time of 5:03.76 placing second in her heat and goes into the finals ranked fourth. For the 1,000m she placed runner-up in her heat with a personal best time of 2:55.21 and goes into the finals ranked sixth.

Makiyah Allen placed 16th overall in the prelims of the 60m hurdles. She was .04 seconds off tying her school record in the event in 8.81 seconds. Cailyn Godsey placed 11th in the finals of the 3,000m racewalk after qualifying from yesterday's preliminary round. Godsey was able to hit a time of 17:06.20.

Shank and Dasia Garland will both finish out the meet tomorrow for Campbellsville. Garland will participate in the triple jump.
