GAINESVILLE, FLA - Christy Shank finished out her NAIA Championship run, earning NAIA All-American honors in the 1,000m run on Saturday.

Shank positioned herself early in the race staying within the lead group after the first three laps of the race. She was able to hang onto the lead group until the end of the race to secure a 5th-place finish in 2:55.48. Earlier in the day, Shank placed 9th overall in the mile with a new personal best and school record time of 4:56.43. 

Dasia Garland was in the triple jump to begin the day for Campbellsville. Garland placed 17th overall in the preliminary round with a best mark of 11.29m.

Campbellsville will now look ahead towards outdoor season with the season opener on March 14-15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
