Smith cracks top ten individually; Tigers place 3rd

BEREA, Ky. – The Campbellsville University men's cross country team opened up their 2025 campaign at the Berea College/Centre College Jamboree on Friday.

Aaron Smith led the way for Campbellsville, finishing in the top ten with a time of 16:18.70 for ninth place. Samuel Larson finished just outside the top ten, landing 11th at 16:22.52.

The three other scoring Tigers cracked the top 50: Austin Barnes in 33rd at 17:21.46, Ethan Johnson in 36th at 17:25.21, and Dustin Ralph in 42nd at 17:53.08.

Matthew Mattingly and Corbin Hale also competed in the race for Campbellsville: Mattingly in 52nd at 18:44.33 and Hale in 66th at 21:33.66.

Campbellsville placed third as a team.

The Tigers will be back on the course on Friday, September 12th, to run in the Southern Showcase in Jacksonville, Alabama.
