Career Record at CU: 118-26
CU RECORD BOOK: Tommy Pretty, Jr., will finish his career as Campbellsville University's most decorated wrestler. He holds the career records for wins (118), pins (48), major decisions (18), most national rankings (27) and most consecutive national rankings (27). He also holds the single-season record for pins (19) and is second for the most single-season major decisions (10). Pretty is the only Tiger wrestler to post three 30-win seasons, winning 31 as both a freshman and sophomore and 32 as a junior. He is one of two Tiger wrestlers to win an NAIA national title.
2011-12: As a senior, Tommy Pretty became the first Tiger wrestler to win 100 matches with a 4-0 decision over Tiffin Univeresity's Jonathon McKenzie in CU's first home dual of the year. Pretty claimed the 141-pound Mid-South Conference championship and finished runner-up in the NAIA East Region Qualifier to teammate Chris Teague. He will enter the 2012 NAIA National Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa as a No. 2 seed with a 24-7 record.
2010-11: As a junior, Pretty moved up to the 141-pound weight class and finished third in the NAIA National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was his third NAIA All-America award. He posted a 32-3 record for his most single-season wins. Pretty also claimed the first-ever Mid-South Conference championship for 141 pounds.
2009-10: As a sophomore, Pretty joined former Tiger Zach Flake as the only other wrestler to win an NAIA national championship.
On March 6, 2010, Pretty dominated Myles Mazurkiewicz to win the 133-pound NAIA national title in Oklahoma City. It was his second NAIA All-America finish. The major decision win tied the school record for most-single season major decisions, but the record was broken the following season. Pretty finished the season with a 31-4 record. In January of the season, he began his streak of 27-consecutive appearances in an NAIA ranking. He was named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Year after helping CU claim the first-ever MSC Championship. He was also named CU's Most Valuable Wrestler and Most Improved Wrestler.
2008-09: During his freshman season, Pretty posted a 31-12 record, including a freshman record and single-season record 19 pins. He finished eighth in the NAIA National Tournament at 133 pounds.
HIGH SCHOOL: Pretty wrestled four seasons at Elder High School and was a three-time Ohio Division One state qualifier. He placed third in the state his junior season and won the state title as a senior. He was twice named Elder's Most Improved Wrestler and posted the most pins for the season as a senior in 2007-08.
PERSONAL: He is the son of Tom and Anita Pretty, and is majoring in elementary education.
