Career Record at CU: 48-25

CU RECORD BOOK: Nick Waldrop is third all-time for pins at Campbellsville University with 17 entering the 2012 NAIA National Tournament. He is second on the Tigers' single-season tech falls list with three as a freshman in 2009-10.

2011-12: In his thid season with the Tigers, Waldrop finished third in the Mid-South Conference championship and NAIA East Region Qualifier. He enters the NAIA National Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa as a No. 3 seed and with a 15-6 record.

2010-11: As a sophomore, Waldrop moved up to 157 pounds and posted a 13-10 record after being plagued with a shoulder injury most of the season.

2009-10: During his freshman campaign, Waldrop posted a 20-9 record at 149 pounds en route to his first NAIA National Tournament in Oklahoma City. Three of those wins came by tech fall to tie the single-season record for most tech falls, a record that would be broken in 2011-12. He helped lead CU to its first Mid-South Conference title and was named the MSC Freshman of the Year.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a four-year wrestler at Freedom High School, Waldrop qualified for the Califronia state tournament three times. He was also a three-time All-American, placing eighth in Fargo, sixth in the Super 32 and sixth at the National High School Championships. He was a two-time sectional finalist in the state of California.
CLUB: Waldrop also competed six years with the Falcon Wrestling Club, winning six state championships and was a two-time triple crown winner.

PERSONAL: He is the son of Larry and Debbie Cates.
