Career Record at CU: 38-2


CU RECORD BOOK: Tim Thurston holds the single-season record for major decisions (11) and is second on the single-season tech falls list with three. His 13 career major decisions is second in the Tigers' career record book.

2011-12: Thurston returned to the Tiger lineup in January 2012 and posted a 11-0 record entering the NAIA National Tournament. He swept through both the Mid-South Conference Tournament and NAIA East Region Qualifiying Tournament to claim both 133-pound titles.

2010-11: As a junior, Thurston posted a 27-2 record for his first season at Campbellsville. He lost only once prior to the NAIA National Tournament, where he claimed All-America status as a third-place finisher at 133 pounds. He led CU in major decisions with 11.

IOWA LAKES COLLEGE: Prior to arriving at Campbellsville, Thurston wrestled two seasons at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa. While there, he was a two-time All-American, finishing second in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Tournament in 2009 and third in 2010. As a freshman in 2008-09, Thurston led the Lakers in pins (7). The following season, he led the nation with a 24-4 record and also led his team in tech falls (6) and major decisions (7) as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: Thurston wrestled three seasons at High Point Andrews High School and claimed the North Carolina state championship.
