CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For the first this season and #third time in her career,
Kaede Amano is named the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Amano picked up four wins on Sunday to help the 18th-ranked Lady Tigers pick up a pair of sweeps against Brescia University and Bethel University.
Against Brescia, she beat Divinity Price and Naruemon Wiriyachon at No. 1 doubles, 8-1, with her teammate
Majella Nobile. The at No. 1 singles, Amano recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Price.
In her four matches, Amano dropped just a combined four games after beating Marcela Donatoni of Bethel University, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Amano partnered with Nobile once more and earned an 8-1 win at No. 1 double over Elena Fochs and Donatoni.
On the season Amano is 3-0 at No. 1 singles and 3-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Campbellsville will now travel to Centre College on Friday, March 3 with first serve scheduled for 3 p.m. ET in Danville.
