CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Christmas came a few hours early for Campbellsville's
Savannah Gregory as she was named the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, officials announced on Christmas Eve.
Gregory, a redshirt sophomore from Scottsville, Ky., averaged 17.5 points, four rebounds, three assists and 3.5 steals per game for the Lady Tigers last week.
She knocked down 70 percent (14-of-20) of her shots from the field while making 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from beyond the 3-point arc.
Gregory scored a season-high 24 points in a 76-75 setback to the University of St. Francis. She made 10-of-12 shots in the game.
Gregory ranks second in the NAIA with 54 steals this season. Her 13.6 points per game are fifth in the Mid-South and lead the Lady Tigers.
The No. 5 Lady Tigers are 12-2 this season and get back to action on Saturday, Dec. 29 at the University of Mobile and Monday, Dec. 31 at Faulkner University.
