CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For the second straight week and third time this year, Campbellsville's
Savannah Gregory was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week.
Gregory, a redshirt sophomore from Scottsville, Ky., averaged 15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and six steals per game during a 2-0 week for the Lady Tigers.
She scored 14 points and added four rebounds and three assists in an 83-48 win over University of the Cumberlands.
Gregory ended the week with her first career triple-double. She poured in 17 points and added 10 rebounds and 10 steals in the Lady Tigers' 85-52 win over Life University. Gregory recorded the triple-double in only 23 minutes of action.
She finished the week shooting 63.6 percent from the field and 84.2 percent from the foul line (16-for-19). Gregory's 110 steals ranks second in the NAIA.
It was the first triple-double in Lady Tiger basketball history since Whitney Ballinger did so on March 17, 2010 against LSU-Shreveport in the NAIA Tournament – the day after being named the NAIA Player of the Year. And she did that in 36 minutes of play.
Campbellsville improved to 25-2 this season and 11-0 in MSC play. The Lady Tigers host Georgetown College on Thursday night for a chance to win the MSC regular season outright.
