CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After being named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on Monday, Campbellsville's Tori Humphrey was also named the NCCAA National Softball Player of the Week, officials announced on Tuesday.

After battling back from ACL surgery last year, Humphrey has broken out of her early-season slump and the bat came alive this past week.

She hit .619 on the week (13-of-21) with five home runs and 15 RBI. Humphrey finished with three doubles as well and scored eight runs. Her slugging percentage was 1.476 and is currently on a 10-game hitting streak. In that streak, she has upped her average from .125 to .338 on the year. Also, she's hitting 19-of-27 (.703) with seven home runs and 21 RBI in that hitting streak.

Her 10 home runs on the year rank sixth in the NAIA.

The Lady Tigers boast a 22-5 record and are 8-2 inside the Mid-South Conference. CU was scheduled to host Georgetown College on Tuesday, April 9 but it has been moved to Wednesday, April 10. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
