CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Amanda Howard was named Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks, the conference office announced on Monday.
 
This is Howard's 11th weekly honor of her career and second of the year.
 
Last week during the Mid-South Conference Quarterfinals, Howard made six saves and posted a 1-0 shutout over University of the Cumberlands.
 
The senior ranks second in the Mid-South with 99 saves and she now has four of the team's six shutouts this season. Nationally, Howard ranks 42nd in the NAIA in total saves.
 
Howard has started in all 18 games this season and has played all but 27 minutes of Campbellsville's 1,660 minutes of action.
 
The Lady Tigers return to Bowling Green, Ky., this week for the semifinals of the conference tournament. Campbellsville takes on No. 16 Cumberland University on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET from Warren Central High School.
 
Georgetown College's Skye Zimmer rounded out the conference honors this week after being named the MSC Offensive Player of the Week.
