WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Campbellsville University wrestling split a pair of duals at the University of the Cumberlands Friday night, defeating No. 20 Indiana Tech, 34-15, but falling 25-17 to the host team. The loss was only the second Mid-South Conference dual loss for CU since the MSC added the sport in 2009-10.

"The guys wrestled well against Tech. Cumberlands wrestled great. Coach Lower's doing a good job over there. They gave us some things to work on," said Franky James, CU head coach.

The Tigers forfeited 12 points in both dual though at 184 pounds and 285. The two forfeits were a main difference in the MSC loss to No. 18 Cumberlands after the Tigers edged the Patriots 17-13 on the mat.

Tyler Alsip, Conor Young and Spencer Adams each wend unbeaten on the mat in the two duals. Young led CU with a pair of pins, his fifth and sixth of the season. Josh Ashbrook also secured two wins for the Tigers, one by forfeit against Indiana Tech and a 12-4 major decision.

Campbellsville, 4-1 in duals action, will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Wartburg College (Iowa) Desert Duals, Dec. 19. The Tigers will face No. 4 Grandview, No. 15 William Penn, No. 16 Embry-Riddle and No. 19 Concordia (Neb.).
