ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Campbellsville University cross country returned to competition Saturday, running in the St. Louis Fall Classic at Forrest Park. The Tigers placed sixth of 14 teams in the men's 8K and the Lady Tigers were seventh of 18 teams in the women's 5K.
Joey Hartlage led the CU men's team, finishing 16th with a time of 27:06. Adam Sandidge and Dylan Ford were also in the Top 30. Sandidge finished 25th with a time of 27:55, while Ford was 27th in 27:56. Wade Harris (39th, 29:13), William Pearson (55th, 30:20), Ross Allen (57th, 30:26) and Brandon Wiseheart (59th, 30:51) rounded out CU's top seven runners. Alex Robinson (31:23) and Luke Camp (34:18) also competed in the meet.
For the women, Sarah Johnson led Campbellsville and finished 23rd with a time of 20:17. Maggie Calvert was 29th with a time of 20:37, followed by Abby Wicke (46th, 21:25), Shelby Courtney (56th, 21:50), Brandi Thomas (70th, 22:28), Mallory Vest (73rd, 22:49) and Shelby Mattingly (90th, 24:29). Jennifer Hatley (25:30), Bailey Foxworth (27:43) and Katelyn Chalk (28:39) also competed in the meet.
The race concludes Campbellsville's regular season. Both Campbellsville teams will travel to Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 8 for the Mid-South Conference Championships.
