ELSAH, Ill. –
Adam Sandidge and
Bret Crawford both competed in the NAIA Cross Country Championship Saturday at North Farms Cross Country Course.
Sandidge finished 15
th of 332 competitors in today's race, earning NAIA All-American honors and Crawford was 75
th.
Sandidge's time was 24:59.0 in the 8K, while Crawford ran a 25:51.8. Both qualified for the national event based on their performance in the Mid-South Conference race Nov. 8.
Sam Beal from University of the Cumberlands placed 27
th with a time of 25:10.5 and Mid-South Conference champion Shawnee State University had two runners finish in the top third of the field: David Jaeger placed 41
st with a time of 25:24.60 and Adrian Ross finished 69
th in 25:49.00.
One week prior to the NAIA race, the duo helped lead Campbellsville at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship in Jackson, Miss. Sandidge was first with a time of 24:52.9. Crawford finished in 25:58.6, finishing 13
th.
