CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA- For the first time in program history, the Tigers had all seven harriers under the 27-minute barrier and three men under the 26-minute barrier.
Bret Crawford finished out his cross country career for the Tigers as he placed 22
ndand received NAIA All-American honors. He is the third NAIA All-American in program history joining Jason Hayes in 2000 who placed 27th, and
Adam Sandidge in 2016 who placed 15th. Crawford also passed former Tiger
Brett Pierce on the all time list to now be at number two with a lifetime best time of 24:54.7.
Senior
Corbin Harris wrapped up his career as well this afternoon by breaking the 26-minute barrier for the first time in his career. He ran a time of 25:56.2 and finished at 136
thposition. He now sits at number six on the all time list for the program. Close behind him was fellow teammate
Jacob Hamilton who also ran a lifetime best and dipped under the 26-minute barrier for the first time as well. Hamilton placed 141
stand ran a time of 25:58.8 and now sits in seventh on the all time list for the program.
Freshman
Jarrett Crawford came in clutch at the right time as he ran a lifetime best time of 26:15.4 and now sits in the ninth position on the all time list for the program. He placed 175
thindividually in the race and was the fourth Tiger in to finish the race.
Junior
Camryn Snapp came in at the fifth position and was able to collect a new PR out at the championships this afternoon. He ran a best time of 26:22.1 and placed 192
ndin the race. Snapp tied former Tiger Joey Hartlage for a spot in the all time list with his time this afternoon. The final two harriers in for the Tigers were
Sam Kiser and
Chris Stoeckel. Kiser placed 240
thand ran a season best time of 26:44.3. Stoeckel was close behind Kiser as he placed 252
ndand ran a PR of 26:51.9.
The Tigers finished the championships by placing 18
th overall. Fellow MSC powerhouse Shawnee State finished meet in 13
th place overall. The team ran a new program best average time of 25:54 which is 14 seconds faster than the previous best time of 26:08 back in 2015 at the NCCAA Championships. The Tigers also beat the 2015 teams position at the NAIA Championships as the placed 20
ththat year.
