CAREER – After playing collegiate baseball for two years at Douglas Community College, Shayne has now transferred to Campbellsville and is in his debut season as a Tiger.
2011-12 (Douglas Community College) – Batted for a .371 average, earning him the NWAACC North Region 2nd team All-star DH award … Led his team to an 8-5 record in the 2012 postseason, batting a .615 average … With that, claimed the all-time hitting record at Douglas CC.
2010-11 (Douglass Community College) – Shayne was chosen as a NWAACC North Region 2nd team All-star with a .316 BA.
HIGH SCHOOL – Played baseball for 3 seasons (DURING HIGH SCHOOL??) with the Parksville Royals in the British Columbia Premier Baseball League … In 2009, received an All-conference award … Voted MVP and Top Team Batter several times … All three years, was named to Team British Columbia … Was an Honor-Roll student … Received the Rudd Haar Memorial scholarship based on his outstanding play in baseball combined with his academic excellence.
CLUB – Played for the Edmonton Prospects, part of the Western Major Baseball League, in summer of 2011 … Recorded a .286 BA with 8 doubles, 3 triples, 3 homers, 18 RBI, and 19 runs of his own … Led his team in extra-base hits.
PERSONAL – Born December 11, 1992 … Son of George and Sharon Kelly … Enjoys snowboarding and hot-tubbing … Eats a gluten-free diet.
