Hall of Fame
Amy Eckenfels Zink, a Louisville, Ky. native, is the first individual Lady Tigers volleyball player to be inducted into the Campbellsville University Hall of Fame. She joins the 2009 Women’s Volleyball Team who were inducted in 2018. Zink played four years for the Lady Tigers and graduated from Campbellsville in 2007 as the program's most decorated player. She set numerous defensive records for CU and held three NAIA defensive records by the time of her graduation. Zink was the first Lady Tiger to receive the honor as MSC Co-Player of the Year in 2005. That year she was also named NAIA National Libero of the Year. A three-time NAIA All-American, Zink was also a multiple-time Mid-South Conference All-Team member (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), a multiple-time NAIA All-Region team member (2004, 2005, 2006), a two-time NAIA All-American (2005, 2006), and the first libero in NAIA history to be named an All-American (2005). Her playing career resulted in many records set: NAIA & CU Career Most Digs (3,569), NAIA & CU Career Most Matches with Double Figure Digs (152), NAIA & CU Career Most Matches with 20+ Digs (88), Single-Season Most Digs (1,229 in 2005), Single-Season Most Digs per Game (9.04 in 2005), and Most 20+ Digs per Game in a Single Season (2005). As a coach, Zink took over the women’s program after helping lead Campbellsville to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I National Championship in 2009 - the first-ever team national championship for CU. In her first season as head coach, Zink returned the Lady Tigers to the NCCAA national championship game and posted a 34-12 record, becoming the first Lady Tigers volleyball coach to win 30 matches in the first season. Following the 2010 season, she was named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year and Zink would again be awarded the honor in 2016. Her coaching career with Campbellsville would conclude in 2017 with a record of 206-120 (.632 winning percentage).
