Russell Mobley, a Clay County, Kentucky native, is inducted into the Campbellsville University Hall of Fame for his years of dedication and love of sports. 

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Mobley obtained bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Kentucky. He taught high school in the Lexington area before joining Campbellsville University in 1971. Mobley was the director of the theater program at Campbellsville University for 34 years. 

The Campbellsville University Russ Mobley Theatre was named in honor of Russell Mobley on January 25, 2011. Mobley also served as a professor of speech and theater from 1971 until his retirement in 2005, directing over 100 performances.

Mobley was involved with church ministry and sports broadcasting.

He served in the state government as Deputy Commissioner of Personnel and then as Deputy Commissioner of Parks. He also served as Deputy Judge Executive in Taylor County in the late 1980's.

Mobley was an active member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He also served as the Minister of Music at Palestine Baptist Church and Lowell Ave. Baptist Church, both in Taylor County.

For two decades, he combined his love for sports and theater to radio broadcast high school football and basketball games for Taylor County High School. Mobley was known as the "Voice of the Tiger" for Campbellsville University.
