Hall of Fame
Members of the 1987 and 1988 Campbellsville College football teams ushered in a new era and laid the foundation for today's Fighting Tigers football program. These groups of mostly freshmen and sophomores committed to help establish a program from the ground up after the college had a 57-year absence from the game.Â
 Â
Under the leadership of head coach Ron Finley, these men developed loyalty for each other and their college, while providing a boost in enrollment.
 Â
On the field, the 1987 junior varsity team went 1-4 with a 30-20 win over Cumberland College on October 10. The 1988 varsity team was 0-11 but their hard work led to a season opening win in 1989 over the University of Evansville, 20-16. The first four-year varsity players finished their career with a 19-22-1 record from 1988 to 1991, including the program's first winning season in 1990 (8-2) and 1991 (9-2).
