Mr. Mark Johnson becomes the fifth inductee into the Campbellsville University Athletics Hall of Fame under the distinction of Meritorious Service.  

A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and later earning a degree from the Graduate School of Banking of the South from Louisiana State University (LSU), Mr. Johnson is not only a major donor for Campbellsville University but also an outstanding community member. Upon his induction, Mr. Johnson is in his 26thyear as President and CEO of Citizens Bank & Trust Company of Campbellsville, Ky. 

Mr. Johnson has been involved in the growth and expansion of Campbellsville University since moving to Campbellsville in 1990. He currently chairs the Campbellsville-Taylor County (CTC) Economic Development Authority and the CTC Industrial Foundation, Inc. He currently serves as the Managing Trustee of the William H. Olson Scholarship Trust and was honored with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award in 2009. He is an active member of Omicron Delta Kappa and serves on its Finance Committee. Mr. Johnson is an active member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

He is a strong supporter of Campbellsville University Athletics where he and his family have been faithful donors to a number of Campbellsville University Projects and programs, proudly involved with the installation of turf and lighting at the football and baseball fields and capital improvements to both the swimming and volleyball programs. In addition to athletics, Mr. Johnson has financially supported the Hawkins Athletic Center, Ransdell Chapel, Citizens Bank Writing Center, and the Art Building for Environmental Studies.

Mr. Johnson continues to provide invaluable support to numerous internships and athletic programs to enrich the experience of student athletes.

Mr. Johnson is married to Lateshia Stephens Johnson, and they are the proud parents of two children, Lauren and Meredith. Lauren continues to advance her educational career studying and teaching Communications at the University of Illinois and Meredith is finishing her first year at the University of Kentucky Medical School.

Mr. Johnson attended the University of Kentucky in the early 1980s, where he and Lateshia are jointly recognized as Fellows of the University. They operate a 200-acre farm with a focus on the environment and improving the central Kentucky region.

Today, Mr. Johnson is an outstanding Christian servant leader who has given of himself in service to others, and he has demonstrated an understanding of and appreciation for the value of intercollegiate athletics in the life of Campbellsville University.
