Benji Kelly, a Murray, Kentucky native, becomes the sixth member of Campbellsville University basketball to be inducted into the Campbellsville University Hall of Fame. 

Kelly, the vice president for development at Campbellsville University, made his mark on the basketball court while playing under Hall of Famer Lou Cunningham. He finished his career second in scoring with 2,121 points and averaged 17.1 points per game. Kelly also became the first Tiger to ever surpass the 2,000-point barrier. 

Upon his induction, Kelly is ninth in rebounds with 663 and remains in the Top 4 of two other stat categories. He’s fourth in single-season points with 724 in 1992-93 and third in all-time steals with 180.

As Vice President for Development, Kelly is responsible for the staffs of alumni relations, planned giving, foundation relations, donor relations, major gifts and the Big Maroon Club, all under the Office of Development umbrella.

Kelly has been instrumental with multiple capital campaigns and projects including: E. Bruce Heilman Complex, Betty Dobbins Heilman Student Wellness Center, Athletic Fieldhouse, Ransdell Chapel, and School of Education. 
 
Kelly graduated from CU in 1999 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. After graduating, he began his career as an admissions counselor before moving to the Office of Development. Kelly received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Campbellsville University in 2005. 

Kelly has been involved with the following professional organizations: Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, Association of Southern Baptist Alumni Directors, Association of Southern Baptist Admission Professionals, Kentucky Association of Secondary and College Admission Counselors and Kentucky Association of College Registrars and Admission Counselors.
 
He is also a member of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and has belonged to the Calloway County Chamber of Commerce and the Agriculture Leadership Development Team at Murray State University and U.S. Tobacco Inc.
 
Kelly and his wife, Kellie Jo Williams Kelly, an alumna of CU, reside in Campbellsville with their daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth. Mrs. Kelly is a reading intervention teacher at Abraham Lincoln Elementary in Hodgenville, Kentucky.
