  • Dr. Wendell C. Sandler graduated from Campbellsville College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education.
  • He was also the tennis team’s most valuable player.
  • In 1973, he was named “Rookie of the Year” for the Campbellsville College Tennis Team.
  • He was the team captain in 1976.
  • While at Campbellsville College he was the president of the junior class and vice-president of the senior class
  • He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
  • Sadler played and won at all single and doubles positions during his tennis career at Campbellsville College.
  • He won approximately 60 percent of his career singles and 70 percent of his career doubles matches for the college.
  • Dr. Ronnie Smith, who was Dr. Sandler’s coach at Campbellsville had the following comment, “Dr. Sandler is one of the finest Christian people on earth. He is a real person who is honest, dependable, conscientious, hard working, and committed to integrity. He is a family man and a church man.”
  • Sadler has coached tennis and taught in several high schools and colleges in a career that spans 18 years.
  • He has been at Tarleton State University in Stephensville, Texas since 1993 where he is chair of the Department of Health and Physical Education and assistant professor of Physical Education.
  • He is married to Donna Elaine Sadler and has two children , Kendall Elaine and Garrett Lee Sadler.
