Dr. Danny Davis served as Head Baseball Coach and Professor at Campbellsville College from 1978-1986. In the classroom Dr. Davis taught countless students in the area of Health Physical Education and Recreation. On the field he led Tiger Baseball to a record of 211-115-1, with a winning percentage of .648 over his tenure. Dr. Davis is credited with putting TIger Baseball on the map challenging top-level NCAA teams and leading his teams to numerous postseason apperances. 

Dr. Davis was extremely instrumental in the building of the baseball stadium in use today. Of equal importance, Dr. Davis had a significant impact on the lives of the young men he coached and the countless students he taught.

Upon leaving Campbellsville College, Dr. Davis went on to serve as Associate Professor and Head Baseball Coach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Dr. Davis recently retired from coaching, having coached more than twenty-six years at the high school and collegiate levels. Dr. Davis and his wife Cathy have two children, Dana and Ross.
